A direct client of ours in mid-town New York is looking for a PHP
Programmer for a right to hire situation.  Potential PHP Programmer will
be brought on for a 2 to 3 month contract and be brought on full time
after that (conversion can be earlier then 2 months).  Candidates must
have the following skill sets:

PHP Programmer: PHP is similar to ASP only it is in a Unix and Linux
Environment
===========
Required:
* 3+ years PHP experience, actual real-world use of PHP 5.x
* Thorough understanding of object oriented programming
* Thorough understanding of database concepts and principles
(specifically with exposure to MySQL 4.x)
* Advanced knowledge of a UNIX type operating system (preferably Linux)
* Apache
* Source control with SVN or CVS

Valuable:
* AJAX / Async procedure calls
* Smarty templates
* Some HTML, CSS, _Javascript
* Excellent organization and time-management abilities
* A strong work ethic, and a conscientious nature.

Desirable:
* Exposure or prior work in Financial Services industry

Specific Responsibilities:
* Design an implement classes and page scripts using PHP
* Implement and advise on system architecture
* Design and develop database procedures
* Work with project managers to create work estimates and time-frames
for technical development tasks
* Work with project managers to manage technical development tasks and
project risk
