FanPimp (www.fanpimp.com), a fast-growing marketing/technology firm, is
seeking a skilled PHP/MySQL developer to join our development team. Although
this will initially be a 3-month contract position, there is potential for
it to transition into a full-time one. This position will require that you
work on-site at our Manhattan-based office. 

Responsibilities: 

* Work with our development team to implement new functionality and features
into our proprietary platform. You may be asked to take the lead role on
certain features. 
* Perform ongoing support and some system administration. 
* Develop web-based administrative and reporting tools based on functional
specs. 
* Work with design staff to ensure a high level of usability. 
* Read user requirement documents and assist in writing system
specifications. 
* Meet aggressive deadlines.

Qualifications: 

* BS in Computer Science (or related) field. 
* Expertise (2+ years) of object-oriented application development experience
using LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP). 
* Expertise (2+ years) in database schema design, programming, and
performance tuning, specifically using MySQL. 
* Experience (2+ years) with HTML, XML/RSS, JavaScript, CSS and CVS for
version control. 
* Familiarity with online community/portal systems (such as PHP-Nuke,
Drupal, etc.), social networking, blogging and web services a plus (but not
essential). 
* Training in project management and/or statistical analysis a plus. 
* Ability to think creatively and solve problems. 
* Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
* Be a hard worker, have attention to detail, and be fun to work with!
