Summary:  Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Computer Science,
the incumbent will perform a wide range of responsibilities in analyzing
and documenting computer science administrative and business processes
with the goal of developing custom software which supports the
department's administrative tasks, including financial records, purchase
orders, student applications and records, space usage and calendaring.
The incumbent will also design, enhance and maintain the department's
web presence and assist with special web-related projects such as
conference web sites.

Minimum qualification:  Bachelors' degree or equivalent.  Three years'
related experience.

Bachelor of Science in computer science, electrical engineering or
related field required; proficiency in PHP, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML
on Linus and/or Solaris platforms must have been demonstrated in
projects of significant scope and complexity.  Familiarity with
configuring and administering Apache and mySQL.  Must be conversant with
CVS or other source code management systems.  Independent designs on SQL
database schema and web frontend and backend architecture.  Ability to
maintain flexibility in response to shifting priorities in workflow and
ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree.  Demonstrated ability to design SQL schema and
architect large web-based systems.  Familiarity with SOAP and/or
XML-RPC.  Experience with administrative or business backend web
systems, including credit card processing and reporting functions.
