Heavy Inc., a leading digital media and entertainment company based in 
mid-town has an immediate need for a freelance web developer who has at
least 2-3 years experience building applications in MySQL, PHP and 
JavaScript.

The ideal candidate will assist our lead developer in building several 
custom "mini" application modules and various backend administration
tools.

The position is initially freelance but could grow into a full time 
position for the right candidate.

NOTE: Due to immediate need, I'm willing to work with telecommuters. 
Candidates just need to be able to be available to come in
periodically for  meetings, updates, and responsive to requests/changes 
and most importantly, do quality work on deadline.

Candidates *must* be local to NYC, however. NO Outsourcing companies, 
please!

Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional
experience.
* 2-3 years of proven proficiency in web and database application
development using PHP and MySQL.
* Strong technical knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and
cross-platform/browser issues.
* Prior experience with email clients, content management systems,
message boards a major a plus.
* Knowledge of Linux.
