GroundReport is looking for a brilliant, motivated Chief Technical 
Officer who knows how to execute.

GroundReport.com is a user-driven news site that enables anyone to 
self-publish articles and bases its front-page on reader ratings. In 
addition, GroundReport.com is supported by advertising, and shares 
revenues with writers to recognize their contributions. GroundReport was 
founded in June 2006 in New York. Our mission:
- Give everyone a platform for self-expression.
- Create an alternative source to mainstream media outlets.

We are looking for a CTO who can implement our second phase of design 
and bring GroundReport to a new level of usability and functionality.


The CTO will direct all technical activity at GroundReport, including:
-    Hosting setup
-    Backend website supervision
-    CMS customization
-    MySQL database optimization
-    PHP coding
-    Security measures
-    Bug tracking and improvements
-    Payment processing and management

The ideal candidate will be:
-    Creative, positive and motivated
-    Punctual, organized and able to stay on task
-    An expert in HTML, PHP and MySQL
-    Very, very smart—with academic records and/or independent projects 
to prove it
-    Experienced in web development and project management
-    Experienced in creating massively scalable content management systems
-    Knowledgeable in CSS and AJAX
-    Excited about using the internet to transform the news media and 
upset old power paradigms
-    A fast learner, able to pick up new languages/technologies quickly
-    Based in NY
