 PeekYou is a database of more than 200 million people linked to their
public web data points. The primary goal is to create single profile for any
person on the web, encompassing his/her life, work, schooling and more, and
to create revolutionary applications with this database. Please see the

Our company is growing and we are looking for a full time PHP/MYSQL/Ajax
expert to join the team (on-site only, office is in mid-town NYC).

The job will require you to be comfortable working within a small but
growing and fast driving environment. We have shorter release schedules than
most companies and you'll be asked to take responsibility for multiple
products. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and start
contributing within a few days from hire.


Your responsibilities will include:

-Owning the front end of our search engine (peekyou.com) All aspects of
quality control and regular feature roll outs and deploys.

-Database maintenance, data importing and query optimization.

-Debugging and optimizing code

* PHP development experience * Experience with template-based, data-driven
portals * Adept with MySQL, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, HTML * User interface
design experience * Experience building and maintaining content portals
and/or large corporate web sites * Confidence administering Linux (or other
*NIX like) servers * Apache administration experience * Experience with
social networking applications
*Pluses*
* Experience with VERY LARGE relational databases * API integration
experience * Rudimentary photoshop knowledge * Smarty Templating Engine *
Prototype Javascript Libraries * memcache or any other caching system that
works with PHP * *Sphinx search engine* * subversion or similar SCM
