Seeking Front End Web Developer

We're looking for a Front End Ninja to make strong contributions to the look, feel and UI of our website, applications and client initiatives.  Successful candidates will love to code on the cutting edge of technologies, have pixel perfect attention to detail and designs, and love to build great user experiences.

Our company delivers high quality editorial content to a rapidly growing subscriber base across the country, gaining ever-growing accolades from the web community in the process-including multiple Webbies and Mobies.

We have a strong practice of leveraging technology to produce fantastic user experiences throughout our content. Specifically, successful candidates can expect to work with HTML5, CSS, Ajax, Jquery, Prototype, JSON, flash and video. We work in an agile development environment with strict source control, feature scheduling, bug tracking and an in-house QA team.  Programmers have their own quiet area and the satisfaction of working on incredible projects for high profile clients.

Key Duties

 *   Develop client side object oriented JavaScript applications using HTML, HTML5 and CSS
 *   Work with the backend developers to skin applications with amazing, on brand and functional designs
 *   Development of dynamic web applications
 *   Page level implementation of creative and campaign assets
 *   Develop clean, portable front-end code for range of agency-type projects, including: web sites, landing pages, banner ads, email, and lightweight applications
 *   Apply creative direction to user interfaces and help to enforce best internet practices
 *   Contribute to technical and functional specifications documents
 *   Develop style guide components, prototypes and proofs of concept
 *   Developing and integrating agency-quality micro-sites and online products

Key Requirements

 *   Advanced JavaScript, AJAX, HTML and CSS usage a must, experience with jQuery preferred
 *   Ability to hand-code to standards without error
 *   Experience with and ability to thrive in a team environment
 *   Experience with developing in a LAMP environment
 *   Experience with a version control system, experience with Subversion preferred
 *   Object-oriented JavaScript programming experience and JavaScript frameworks, including class creation, object instantiation and inheritance.
 *   Experience and high familiarity with Web Standards & Cross-Browser Compatibility
 *   Strong communication skills

Bonus Skills

 *   Knowledge of object oriented PHP
 *   Understanding of MVC frameworks, specifically Symfony
 *   Experience working with CDNs
 *   Experience in Flash and AS2/3
