  LAMP Application Developer   CollegeHumor
 is seeking an ambitious, well-rounded LAMP Application Developer. You 
will work with our small talented team of developers on a number of 
large high profile websites which include: CollegeHumor, TodaysBIGthing,
 SportsPickle, Dorkly as well as contribute to a number of internal 
tools and services. Collectively our sites reach over 12 million users 
every month.     Overview:   ·      This
 role is for a LAMP Application Developer who will primarily be working 
on a new, high profile website that will be launched later this year by 
CollegeHumor Media.         ·      Candidate
 must have experience developing on a PHP5-based MVC Framework and 
demonstrate an excellent understanding of object-oriented programming.       ·      Candidate
 must be a conscientious developer who can build new features, iterate 
on existing features, write test scripts, unit test their code, and take
 part in code reviews with other developers.        ·      Candidate must be able to profile and optimize code and database queries for performance.       ·      Candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced environment with small agile development teams.     Requirements   ·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required   ·         Minimum 4 years related experience required   ·         Comfortable with entire LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP5)   ·         Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming   ·         Strong understanding of MVC methodologies   ·         Thorough understanding of Caching / Scaling (Memcached, APC, etc.)    ·         Thorough understanding of HTML, Javascript, CSS and XML   ·         Experience with SPL a major plus   ·         Experience working with a high volume website is a plus   ·         Experience working on a Media website is a plus   ·         Experience with Javascript frameworks (preferably jQuery) are a plus   ·         A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies     How To Apply:   To be considered, please send cover letter, resume, and coding samples or online portfolio.
