Job Summary
Participates in conceptualizing and developing the information systems
strategic plan for the IT development department of a financial services
company. Designs and develops highly technical architectural plans which
include hardware, software, network and data in a fast-paced, high intensity
environment.

Job Duties
o	Documents the current state of the IT architecture, including
applications and the business processes they enable.
o	Develops and periodically updates a vision of how the IT
architecture should work in the future. Includes future roles of current
applications, deficits in the architecture that should be filled, new
technologies or methodologies.
o	Documents and updates as needed an overall plan of the technical
requirements.
o	Ensures the design & development of all systems is conducive and
achieves the correct architectural goals.
o	Scope IT requirements from business needs.
o	Advises on development issues.


Qualifications 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

o	Expert knowledge of and minimum 4 years experience in PHP 5
development, MySQL, Apache, and Linux (Red Hat)
o	Knowledge of high availability system design using the above
technologies as well as best practices and security issues.
o	Conceptualize and develop long-term strategies for information
technology architecture.

Education and Experience
o	B.S. - Computer Science or Information Technologies, Related degree
or work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
o	7-10 years of related experience.
