Web Engineer - WordPress/php

Apartment Therapy is looking for another well-rounded web engineer to
join our team. If you love working on a small team, are comfortable at
any layer of the web app stack, and eager to serve a large and growing
audience, we'd love to hear from you.

At Apartment Therapy we help people make their homes more beautiful,
organized and healthy by connecting them to a wealth of resources,
ideas and community online. With an audience of over 5 million unique
visitors and over 35 million page views per month, our bootstrapped
business is growing rapidly. We need another pair of hands to continue
improving our sites and tools for our readers, our writers and our
advertisers.

Specifically, we're looking for an experienced php/WordPress developer
to work with our CTO and a pro WordPress consultant (or two) to migrate our
legacy publishing platform to WordPress and implement a site
rebrand/redesign/reorganization.

We're looking for someone with:
* Strong php chops
* Experience developing WordPress plugins & themes
* Experience writing code for high traffic sites
* Experience with a variety of third party APIs
* Mastery of basic html/css

Bonus points for:
* ruby
* javascript/jquery
* experience managing linux servers in production

Our existing team consists of two engineers. We work (mostly) in ruby on
the back-end. We love git, cloud hosting and automation. We use Ubuntu,
Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, MySQL and MongoDB. You should be a quick and
eager to learn (and to teach).

We strongly prefer New York City-based candidates (to work in our Soho
office), but might consider remote workers in some circumstances. No
agencies or recruiters, please.

If you're ready to join our team, please contact scott at apartmenttherapy.com
and tell us how you will make a great addition.
