My client is one of the most innovative, leading interactive media brands
today. We connect with our audience through engaging global and local
editorial making content actionable via ecommerce and creating/maintaining
award winning digital products.
 
We are looking for a full-time LAMP Engineer to help develop our products in
web, email and mobile and channels.  If you're looking for an exciting,

Our Back-End Engineer requires great development skills, as well as
strategic thinking and technical decision-making abilities. Your work will
be critical to meeting our growth and profitability targets and ensuring
that our users have an enjoyable and valuable experience.

You will work across a multi-platform suite of websites and functionalities
that are mixed amongst   homegrown, enterprise, and third party hosted
solutions.  It is therefore critical that you be experienced in our various
technologies and platforms, show versatility and the ability to multitask
and have a track record of consistently hitting deadlines.
 
Requirements

.         2+ years well-rounded experience working with LAMP (Linux, Apache,
MySQL, PHP) systems, including programming, system administration, and
database administration

.         Practical experience with Unit Testing frameworks and
methodologies

.         Practical experience with MVC frameworks and RESTful APIs
(symfony, magento preferred)

.         Strong understanding of and experience with version control
systems (SVN, git)

.         Basic Linux systems administration skills - understanding how to
get around in the shell, simple scripting and apache vhost management.

.         Experience with Ajax, JavaScript, JSON, and Jquery

.         Experience working with Agile methodologies

Qualifications

.         BA or BS in Computer Science or a related field

.         Overall, must have the technical aptitude to gain the respect of
our experienced technology team
