To cache or not to cache...

One of my websites contains varying changing data; some of it changes
randomly daily, others change according to XML-entered timed data; some
never changes. Nearly all on the homepage are imported as PHP scripts via
a CGI stub executable.
I'm interested in a caching solution for the page for efficiency sake.
Based on this scenario, what would you all recommend I do?
