Wow, Tulip is hot. Is there any alternative/more mature package

Fair enough.

I thought 4,5,9 and 12 were intersting.  And point 14 is what MS is all
about, and a major factor in their success... consistent look and feel
and all that stuff.

True, there is some marketing hype in there, but considering the scale
and complexity of having to release Windows, there is some merit in
their song and dance.
