well..... I for one wouldn't trash you for doing that :-)

When I do a talk that isn't interactive (something like one might do 
with powerpoint) I don't even bring a notebook anymore. I carry my 
<insert your favorite brand here, mind ends in TRAX> portable hard 
drive/video player, which plugs into a projector and displays slideshows 
(and it's also a video/mp3 player and "infinite storage" for my camera's 
CF cards). The slides are just image files so they can be just about 
anything....

It's quite another scanerio when you need a php interpreter at the ready...
