Ok, so this is a little off base -- not really php related.
 
But I just stumbled on this company: http://www.alertbot.com/ for remote
monitoring. 
 
Seems pretty cool. Is this old hat? Are there lots of companies that do
this? Do you just perform the monitoring using your own servers? Thoughts?
Suggestions?
