Hi Jon,

Nope. The 0 element is not necessarily first. Consider the following example:

$array = array();
$array['first'] = 'foo';
$array[] = 'bar';

$ ./t.php
Array
(
    [first] => foo
    [0] => bar
)

In this case the element 'foo' is first.
