I initially had a similar reaction when I saw this comment, but when I really thought about it, that's the power of PHP (that it's 
  so easy to just try stuff).  Asking a similar question about "how" on a haskell list would probably not elicit such a response, 
but the more I think about it, the more I think that the above answer might be the right one, considering the context :-]
