XAMPP works great. 
I now want to get PEAR working. Using Win2K...

How do I install PEAR? - of course I see the PEAR folder in xampp but
isn't there a bit more I have to do?
Do I have to edit my PATH env. var?
Do I have to run a .bat to activate PEAR?
PEAR will work from my DOS CMD line is this true?
So I need to get it working and the test will be I'll download some PEAR
packages...
