I understand that MySQL does not have the ability to store B.C. dates, but
that PostgreSQL does.  However, I have not been able to determine how PHP
facilitates the recording, editing and display of B.C. dates for the
PostgreSQL query.  Is there a function (or multiple functions) in PHP that
addresses this?
