Hi Folks,

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day Holiday.

We have got a great lineup for the September Joomla NYC Meeting at 6:30 PM
on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 146 West 65th Street, Lincoln Center. (For a better
directions visit, www.joomlanyc.org )

Now if you only go to one Joomla NYC meeting per year, this is the one to
attend. Our featured presenter is Elin Warring. She is the former president
of Open Source Matters, the group that oversees Joomla and its development
and trademark.

Elin has been involved with the major Joomla upgrade which has been going on
this year. She will discuss where Joomla is headed and what you need to do
to prepare for it.

We will also celebrate Joomla's 6th Birthday. Steve Burge of Open Source
Training and author of the new Joomla! Explained book, wrote a nice short
blog post honoring Joomla's birth and it's growth. Would you believe Joomla
has been downloaded 25 million times!

And we will also hold the Lightning Round, were you ask the questions and
the group provides the answers.

I also want to remind everyone that Joomla Day NYC Weekend is on Oct. 22 and
23. The discount is no more, but you can still register. Even without the
discount, it is still a fantastic deal. To register
