[nycphp-talk] automatic translation

At last! A topic I know a little bit about, being a full-time court
interpreter (Spanish<>English) for the US District Court, Southern
District of New York.

If you care about quality, use humans. The state of the machine
translation art still isn't up to the task of translating anything but the
most simple-minded of texts, and even then it needs to be checked
thoroughly by a qualified human.

Modern translators have increased their productivity with Computer
Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, things that do stuff like sentence
memory and terminology database management, watch you work and pop up to
offer to continue some sentence you're writing -- think code completion.
But that's not Machine Translation (MT).
