Thanks for the link. I vague remember the curly braces also used in Perl, but it's been a while since I used Perl. It's going to have to come back to me slowly and probably painfully. heh

Using this syntax will work for simple arrays, but it is generally
preferable to use the curly brackets syntax, as it will also work
with
object variables, etc.
