[nycphp-talk] MySQL giveth, but sometimes only as source

Catching up on blogs today, and saw Ilia's post[1] about the
source-only releases of MySQL Community Server. Perhaps this is old
news, but it seems that compiled binaries of MySQL are only going to
be available for *some* releases.

In other words, if you don't want to, or can't, build your own
binaries, you don't get 5.0.33.

Chances are that few of the people on this list really care about
running the absolute most up-to-date version of MySQL, and those that
do can almost certainly compile their own (or rely on package
maintainers to do it). So, just to save confusion on the download
page, if you can't find the binary you're looking for, it may only be
available as source.
