Keep in mind, by setting up another vector to get/modify data from your
database, you are also setting up another vector of data access you have to
secure.

I would only consider REST if your looking to open this up to a large team
of developers, or a number of different companies operating independently.
For internal use, I'd put off REST until you have a mature app.
