Hello:

 

A Major Employer in the Union area of NJ is seeking a PHP Developer/Consultant for a contract that approximately runs for 4-5 months.

   

Essential Functions: 
·         Design, develop and support front-end software applications primarily using PHP and JavaScript.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
·         Aid in the creation of detailed functional specifications.
 
Qualifications/Skills Required: 
·         Solid website development experience with PHP in a multi-tiered environment
·         Solid experience integrating PHP with database layers using Oracle stored procedures and embedded SQL
·         Strong hands-on working knowledge of Oracle SQL & SQL Navigator or similar tool
·         Knowledge of UNIX and Apache are required
·         Strong HTML & DHTML development experience
·         Proven experience developing high-traffic, professional B2B and B2C web sites in either professional web publishing or e-commerce
·         Experience with cascading style sheets
·         Solid understanding on n-tier architecture, including integration with java servlets
·         Ability to produce clearly written and documented code
·         Able to work within a heterogeneous software and hardware environment.
·         Knowledge of ASP, VB Script, ODBC, ADO, IIS a plus
·         Must have excellent analytical problem solving skills
·         Must be a "team player" who takes personal initiative to advance the group's objectives.
·         Must be able to strive and perform at a consistently high level in a demanding, fast-paced environment and display a "can do" attitude at all times.
·         Superior oral and written communication skills
 
Experience/Education Required: 
·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or Electrical Engineering required.
·         2+ years server-side web development in PHP 4.x & JavaScript
·         Minimum 4 years of full life-cycle development implementing enterprise level systems
